Besides ancestor spirits, Kuy have confidence in other nature spirits such as that of the monitor lizard (takuat) which they consider to generally be image of fertility. The Kuy conduct ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and ask for fertility from mother nature. They'd also take the tail with the lizard to work with in divination ceremonies
